Tweets,
Urban birds never cease to amaze me. I was sitting here working at the
computer in my apartment (Bitter Lake area) and I have the usual two dozens
house sparrows and finches, nothing else. Since I have only seen a song
sparrow 3 times in the 3.5 years I've been here, imagine my surprise when I
look out onto the patio and see a LINCOLN'S SPARROW! It left after 2-3
minutes along with the other HOSP, it may come back or it might just be
moving through. This makes species #50 seen from my place, either flying over
or associated with the patio. A great #50!

To identify a species should not be enough to quench one's thirst,
a proper thirst must seek to understand every facet of the bird's
existence.
