Speaking of police whistles, last weekend when I was at Tolt River Park in
Carnation, I heard what to my very semi-trained ear sounded like an
Ash-Throated Flycatcher -- a loud burry "breeet" (but none of its "pee-reer"
calls). I heard it about once a minute or less, about ten times. Is it
possible that's what I heard, or is it too early for them to be there?

(P.S. I apologize if this comes through in HTML format -- I have it set
THREE different places as plain text, but last time it still came out as
HTML -- go figure.)

To me the call note is like a short blow on a high pitched police
whistle...
"drrreet", very distinctive.
