Hi:
Saw the first returning Violet-green Swallows in Fort St. James Yesterday,
and this morning awoke to -10c temp. and 30k wind for a wind chill of -300c
or so. Walking the dogs was a real pleasure! The Winter Wren that has been
singing every morning was silent and the only thing singing were Varied
Thrush. My feeders were very busy today with about 30 Red-winged blackbirds
and 20 Evening Grosbeaks that would only move when the resident
Sharp-shinned Hawk made an appearance.
