Hello Tweets,

Today Dave Hayden, and my mother and I birded mainly Grays Harbor and
Pacific Cos., with a few stops made in Thurston Co. We came up with a total
of 100 species, and occassional rain showers at times, with partly to
mostly sunny skies, and moderate wind near the immediate coast. The best
and most unexpected bird of the day was 22 SANDHILL CRANES along Brady Loop
Rd. at 8am, but NO cranes during an PM repeat visit to the same location.
Other highlights included:

38 along Elk River(large group high count), but others noted throughout

Good numbers of recent emerging SWIFT FORKTAILS(Ischnura erratica)during a
PM visit to the Shouweiler Rd./Chehalis WA, Grays Harbor Co., and breeding
activity observed.
