Hello Tweters.
While going on a fast speed Birdtrip with two hard core birders,i manage to
find my first Dragonflie for this year.
It is the SWIFT FORKTAIL Ischnura erratica. We found this Damsel at the
same place where i found it last year only 9 days earlier the 24th of April
1999.at the Schouweiler Chehalis Wildlife. Since it was quite raining for
the past few days showers on and of all day,we had the sun comming out for
a little while.One of the males landed of the back of Patricks sweater
trying to getting warm.We saw a slide show of Dragonflies presented by
Dennis Paulson.

getting warm.This is the first time such incidence happen to myself. This
Damsels happen to emerge this afternoon when the sun came out and there was
barly flying mostly making short strokes and laying quite low.We had both
males and females and quite few of them.So the Season start now for seeing
DRAGONFLIES.
