The mention of the new library in the P.I. this morning once again
jostled a vague notion I've had in my head ever since they put out the
design of the new library. It wasn't entirely clear to me how those
exterior copper tubes were going to look, but I got the impression that
they would be open on the outside. This seems like an insane idea just
because of all the dirt that would accumulate. But on top of that,
wouldn't all those tubes make wonderful starling nests holes?
