Does anyone know how frequently ravens appear in and near Seattle? I saw
what appeared to be a raven flying around my house in the Maple Leaf
neighborhood yesterday, but I'm not sure, thanks to my binocs having been
stolen (#$*& at # at !). Tail looked like a wedge when it flew over, and it
sounded a bit un-crow-like, but I couldn't judge the size or see the
beak. This led me to wonder just how uncommon ravens are around here.

As an aside, it was good to hear the kreeeking of our pair of Steller's
Jays this morning and see them busy doing what they do. I was wondering
when I'd finally see them hanging around here. I love watching them do
jay-things.
