Subject: wildlife records for GAR site in Westport

Hi Lauren -
I am looking for people with any bird or other wildlife observation
records for the Grand Army site in Westport, Washington. The site is
roughly at the intersection of Grand Army Road and Sherman Street.

This sight contained about 2 acres of mature forested wetlands, but last
year the City of Westport cleared and filled the wetlands without a
permit to do so. I am the attorney representing Wildlife Forever of
Grays Harbor in our case against Westport under the Clean Water Act for
this egregious illegal habitat destruction.

Some neighbors have seen Marbled Murrulets at the site, which are listed
as threatened under the ESA. However, we don't have many solid wildife
observation records. I hope that someone out there has records of bird
or other wildlife observations, any of which could help us hold Westport
responsible for its actions.

I can be reached at 206-860-2124 or rasmithwa at igc.org.

Thanks much,

Richard
