Any Canadian Tweetsters out there interested in a fun summer?

You gotta admit those alcid biologists sure know how to write a catchy
advertisement! "Needed, crazy hermit who likes to grovel in guano, make
half-hourly bird censuses during 19-hour days for four months in
gale-force drizzle, live in a small mildewy tent with someone you don't
know with real smelly feet but can mix a scrumptious canned food medley,
then return to civilization dirt-poor, prepared to give a poster session
at the next Pacific Seabird Group meeting, and even more crazy." It
could be the best summer of your life!

One volunteer wanted for wet, miserable, cold trip to Buldir Island,
western Aleutian Islands, Alaska, USA. You will be working long
hours, both by day and night, getting right into the dirt, and
experiencing some of the greatest seabird spectacles on this planet.
Your job would be to assist in a graduate student thesis project and
ongoing long-term research on sexual selection, ecology, and
demography of auklets.

The CATCH(es): you have to be physically very fit, a Canadian
citizen, be a student at a Canadian university (or be eligible to be
a student), be available to start on May 16, and be able to commit
for the entire field season from mid May to early August. Travel and
accommodation expenses covered from Canada, but, unfortunately, we
can't pay a salary.
