Scott Downes and I spent the morning birding the Quilomene Wildlife Area near
Vantage. It was pretty windy, coming from the north, so it wa also a bit
chilly. Highlights there were many singing BREWER'S SPARROWS, and at least 1
SAGE SPARROW. Also singing its heart out was a SAGE THRASHER which Scott and
I were able to approach fairly close and obtain great views. WHITE-THROATED
SWIFTS were in abundance at the Gingko State Park, and Scott and I both
photographed a fairly cooperative ROCK WREN just south of Vantage. Thats
about it thats noteworthy.
Good Birding
