Hi All.

Yesterday, several of us who were corresponding with Jim Lyles about the
Tacoma peregrines received emails from his brother, David, informing us of
Jim's unexpected and untimely death from a heart attack Thursday afternoon.
Needless to say, we were all shocked and saddened by this news.
One of the things David said was how much Jim appreciated and enjoyed his
contacts with the birding community.
Jim shared with Tweeters his information about the Tacoma peregrines as well
as his experiences as an observer; I'm sure many of you enjoyed his
articulate and entertaining posts. In addition, he had an excellent web site
about the Tacoma peregrines. His brother wants to find someone who will
maintain that web site, at least through the breeding season, and several of
us are trying to find someone who will do that.
The male, G.P., and his mate Mickee are incubating now; it is sad that Jim
will not be here to watch them through the breeding season, after waiting
for several years for this to happen.
