Hello,
I would like to request help on birding in Washington and BC.
I'm planning a one-week trip for late July.

Primary targets are:

Crested Myna (Vancouver)
Eurasian Skylark (Vancouver Island)
Calliope Hummingbird
White-tailed Ptarmigan
Hermit Warbler

Secondary targets are:

Red-naped Sapsucker
Williamson's Sapsucker
Black Swift
Gray Partridge
Chukar

I would not wish to go way out of my way to find the "secondary
targets". I would only work on them if there were places convenient to
my "primary targets".

I have the info from tweeters about locations for Crested Myna.
I also have info on Eurasian Skylark locations (Victoria Airport).
We plan to drive up I-5 to Canada, to Vancouver for Crested Myna.
Then take the ferry to Vancouver Island for the Eurasian Skylark.
on this plan?

I have Terry Wahl's book. Are there any reliable/better places for my
target species beyond what is listed in Terry Wahl's book? I'd be
especially interested in feeder locations where Calliope Hummingbird is
reliable.

I do not subscribe to Tweeters, so I would appreciate email directly to
me at: afd at zk3.dec.com.

Thanks for any help,
Alan Delorey
