This is Kas Dumroese with the Northern Idaho / Eastern Washington /
Northeastern Oregon bird hotline for Friday, Apr 21 (2000). This hotline,

A single drake EURASIAN WIGEON was on Texas Lake, Whitman Co, WA on Apr 15
according to Tom and Diane Weber. Just east of Texas Lake they had a
probable TRUMPETER SWAN. The flock of 60 ROSS'S GEESE they reported last
week on the southern end of Rock Lake had dwindled to 40. Texas Lake is
about 8 miles due southwest of Rock Lake. Rock Lake is about 1.5 miles north
of Ewan off WA 23, about 6 miles west of St John in northern Whitman Co. WA
DeLorme 72, C-3.

A lone Idaho ROSS'S GOOSE was just northeast of Moscow, Latah Co, last
weekend according to Dave Holick. The bird was on the south side of Darby
Road near the Jasper Farm, just east of Olsen Road.

Four AMERICAN AVOCETS were at Swallows Park in Clarkston, Asotin Co WA on
Apr 15 according to Carole Vande Voorde. The park is along WA 129 just south
of town along the Snake River.

A BARRED OWL was hooting in Genesee, Latah Co ID for the past week or so,
although it hasn't been heard the last couple of nights. It was calling from
just south of the high school according to Terry Gray.

I had reports of Nashville and Orange-crowned warblers, Cliff Swallows,
Chipping and Savannah sparrows, and Swainson's Hawks this past week.
