..................The pleasure of both the motel manager(Long Beach,
Wash.) and myself watching a mama Killdeer and her 2 downy little chicks
scurry around the grounds much of Sat. afternoon this weekend.
..................Being "serenaded" by 1 or more White-crowned
Sparrows(the same ones that I saw the last few years???) as I take
lunch, and as I leave from Columbia Sportswear in north Portland, Ore.
..................Watching the returning Steller's Jays tease and
dive-bomb my orange tabby "Artie" when I am in the yard with him.( I
think these jays have nests in the fir tree or trees across the street
in the mobile court).
...................Hearing the staccato hammering of a woodpecker I can
never seem to be able to spot!!!
...................Oh, the simple pleasures of life---islands of
simplicity and calm in a hectic, frantic paced sea of life!!!!!! (-:
