Hi:
I spent the Easter Long weekend in the Hazelton area in Northwestern B.C..
On the 4 days we were there my Bro-inlaw Ray Sturney and I saw approx. 5000
Sandhill Cranes Flying over the area.
We drove up the Kispiox Valley to the Allen Ranch where the cranes stopover.
We were there at the wrong time and only saw about 60 on the ground but Mary
from the ranch said that they had counted 3500 in 1 field the night before.
The white Sandhill Crane that Ray had spotted last year has not returned at
this time.
I checked Stuart Lake this morning and spotted 53 Common Loons from the
marina and also 65 Snow Geese at Paarons Beach.
