Hello Tweets,

Today I observed and photographed the SAGE THRASHER at Clark College, in Vancouver, Clark County from 6am-6:30am. It was surprising to see this species out of habitat, as it foraged for grubs, in a relatively urban area, but a great find in migration. The remainder of the day was planned by birding 4 counties, which was completed with 116 species. Weather was variable with heavy to moderate hail/rain showers at times, with mostly to partly cloudy skies, and moderate wind in the afternoon hours. It was a fairly rewarding trip to add a few year birds, but missed a few expected species. The highlights will follow in the listed counties:
