While Gene Hunn was watching a Western Kingbird at Marymoor at noon today,
my son and I were having lunch. A couple hours later we were also watching
a Western Kingbird flycatch in a pasture a mile north of Stanwood. It was
sitting on a barbed wire fence, and either sallying out to catch an insect
in the air, or dropping to the ground a few feet away to pick one from the
grass. This is only the second I have seen in the Stanwood area.
