Hello Tweeters,

About 3:30 today I also saw a WESTERN KINGBIRD on Whidbey Island about 2/10 of a mile of off Highway 20 on Ebey Road just north of Coupeville. I birded South Whidbey State Park, Crockett Lake, Fort Casey State Park, Penn Cove, Swantown and Fort Ebey State Park as well. Shorebird numbers at Crockett were fairly low with about 250 WESTERN SANDPIPERS, 35 DUNLIN, 3 SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS and about a dozen GREATER YELLOWLEGS. Notable passerine activity included 1 WILSON'S WARBLER along with several PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHERS at South Whidbey State Park, and a HUTTON'S VIREO and singing GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROWS at Fort Casey. I also found 3 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE at Swantown and a good assortment of seabirds (RHINO AUKLETS, PIGEON GUILLEMOTS and HORNED GREBES especially) along the west side of Whidbey.

Good Birding!
