After reading Gene Hunn's account of a Brewer's Sparrow at Marymoor Park on
Saturday, I went out at 7:00 this morning. WHAT A MORNING!

First of all, the BREWER'S SPARROW was right where Gene had left it. It was
still there, singing, at 9:15. The bird was last seen in a crab apple tree at
the south end of the East Meadow (Park at the Interpretive Lot, walk south on
the trail to marker (3), and listen). Gene arrived shortly after I did to try
to record the bird.

Also in the East Meadow was a WESTERN KINGBIRD (as Gene reported yesterday). I
also had 3 male WESTERN TANAGER.

The bushes and trees along the trail south of the East Meadow were absolutely
full of birds including
Yellow-rumped Warbler Hundreds
Orange-crowned Warbler Dozens
NASHVILLE WARBLER 1-3
Wilson's Warbler 1 male
Warbling Vireo At least 2
Empidonax sp. At least 1

The numbers of SAVANNAH SPARROW, COMMON YELLOWTHROAT, and RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD
were quire impressive as well.
