Michael and Tweets,

Michael and I both independently relocated the Brewer's Sparrow this morning
7-8 AM at the Marymoor Park location described previously. Steve Mlodinow
alerted me to the possibility it might be a "Timberline Sparrow," a rather
distinct far northern subspecies that is said to be darker with a somewhat
larger bill and different song. Anyway, this morning I tape recorded quite a
series of vocalizations from the bird and got more close looks and it looks
and sounds just like a regular garden-variety Brewer's to me. In any case, if
and when I learn how to post a digitized sample of the recorded vocalization,
I will make them available for your expert consideration.

The Western Kingbird was still there. It moves around a bit from the parking
lot to observations point #3 and all around the meadow. There was also a
Nashville Warbler in the area, as well as a couple of Wilson's Warblers.

Curiously, the White-crowned Sparrows, though common, were silent, unlike the
Savannahs, Songs, and Golden-crowneds. They looked quite gray-naped. Perhaps
they are all or mostly _gambeli_ northbound?
