Today (April 30) while leading a SAS field trip along the Duwamish waterway,
we saw 18 Caspian Terns on a sandy bar in the middle of the river, just
north of Kellogg Island, at Terminal 105. They were there the day before as
well.
The ospreys are on their nest, and can be easily seen while looking north
from Terminal 105 or south from Terminal 103.
The other special treat was a beautiful male Western Tanager, seen along the
trail out to the little park at Terminal 103.
