Tweets--

went out on Friday with 50 students. it was in-and-out
chilly, but we did get to see shorebirds.. Jim Pruske
has the list, but PINE wouldn't open it, so I'm winging
it, so to speak. :)

redknots, lots of peeps, black bellied plovers, etc
the usual suspects.. and, I think, a whimbrel..I didn't
see it, but I heard Jim mention it later on.

we had one unsuccessful falcon attack from an immie
peregrine..she missed, but caused the dunlin to ball up
nicely and give us the short version of the Shorebird Ballet.

an immie bald eagle got "everybody up".. an eagle in the
air really stirs things up. We also saw some adults soaring
way off in the distance.

We noted that both osprey nests were occupied..Montesano and
Elma. On the return trip we took Brady loop..both of them
and saw 5 TV's and 2 redtails. We also stumbled on two
trees full of bandtailed pigeons..amazing sight.

It was a good trip and nice way to end the week.
