Butterfly Census
Neawanna Transect
Seaside, Clatsop Co OREGON

3 August 2000 1220h to 1330hr
temp 65F; wind NW 5-10; 80%sun

Method: Follows the Butterfly Monitoring Scheme described in
Pollard and Yates (1993, Monitoring Butterflies for Ecology and
Conservation. Chapman Hall, London.). A 1.4km transect was
divided into 10 sections. All butterflies, odonata and selected
day-moth species seen within 5m of the transect line are counted
and recorded. The aggregate count follows:

Veined (Margined) White 3

Paddle-tailed Darner 1
