hi all
this is a request for information about european birding in the fall. i
will be backpacking for 6 weeks, starting in early september. i will be
flying into london and out of athens but as of yet have no set itinerary.
this is not primarily a birding trip as i wish to see a lot of the art and
history of europe, but i want to spend some time seeing the flora and fauna
as well. i have contacted many of the european birding sites on the web,
but have ended up more overwhelmed than informed. anyone out there with any
suggestions for some sane birding?? i will be using eurail, so don't have
access to a car. i don't mind buses, hiking and out of the way places. i
would love to hear about everyone's "you just can't miss it" kind of
stories.
