Early this morning, I was birding along the Black River in Glacial Heritage.
I saw an immature Peregrine Falcon blast out of nowhere from the vicinity of
the river and try and snatch breakfast from a flock of starlings. The
starlings fled into the trees with the falcon right on their tails, but I
don't think the falcon got one, darn it. It certainly started the day out
absolutely great.
