Hello, Folks

Several of the eastern hawkwatches have started their fall counts as of
August first. Not any big numbers reported, but a trickle of kites,
broadwings, and even some falcons has begun. It won't be long before fall
migration arrives at full force here in the Pacific Northwest. By now, most
turkey vultures have fledged and groups of more than 1-2 individuals are
being seen. Keep watch!

Turkey Vultures start moving around in August and by the second week of
September are usually rather casually headed south. Occasionally fair

and the first week in October. Reports are welcome! Anytime . . .

Cheers, Diann
