Here are the results from last weekend's (8/5/00) Westport trip from Terry
Wahl (TW):
*******

Total counts for 5 August off Westport to 125 W. Ideal conditions, overcast,
nearly flat sea. (Cod liver oil pheromones didn't move in flat calm - chum
at
125 was a bust.) Pretty good action at or near fishing vessels offshore.
Phalaropes and jaeger types picked-up if only slightly, Sabine's still low,
terns non-existant. Most interesting feature: 11 of 12 harbor seals were
offshore, to 124 47 W - very unusual and interesting. They were in elevated
SSTs, not in 'normal' SSTs near shore.
