Thanks for your post about the purple martins along the Duwamish.

On Tuesday about 1:40 pm I was at the new park site (former Seaboard Lumber
site) across from Kellogg Island. We were very entertained watching 5 ospreys
- both off and on the nest. There appeared to be three young and two adults.
At one point, an adult approached the nest --- with a twig, which I found
interesting.

There was also a bald eagle sitting at the top of the huge red and white
tower to the south of Kellogg Island.

We also saw a northern harrier at Discovery Park - quite beautiful.
