Saturday, August 12, 2000, 8:27 p.m. Hi, this is Steve
Mlodinaw. Today Kevin Aanerud and I birded parts of
Whidbey Island. At Crockett Lake, there was a sub-adult
PARASITIC JAEGER harassing the shorebirds. There was
also 18 SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPERS and a
BAIRD'S SANDPIPER among a good number of PEEPS.
At Swantown Lake there were two SEMIPALMATED
SANDPIPERS. And at the Everett Sewage Ponds, there
were two SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPERS and a
BAIRD'S SANDPIPER. That's it. Good luck and good
birding.

Friday, August 11, 11:13 p.m. Paul Hicks here.
360-264-2462. Reporting for Friday August 11th with an
update out at Ocean Shores and Tokeland. The
YELLOW-BILLED LOON is still there at Ocean Shores at
the base of Damon Point. Park at Marine View Drive where
the road goes into Damon Point, and from there hike
towards basically the direction of Westport Jetty and there's
some submerged jetty rocks out there and the bird is with
RED-THROATED LOONS and SCOTERS. And also at
Tokeland, the BAR-TAILED GODWIT is still there at the
Tokeland Marina. Good luck, good birding.

Thursday, August 10th, 9:36 a.m. Hi, this is Greg Toffic,
425-338-1746, and yesterday at the Everett Waterfront,
viewable from the South View Park, was a single
RED-NECKED PHALAROPE. Good birding.
