I live in a semi wooded area in Kenmore. We have what we thought was an
ornamental cherry tree outside our dining room window. Well the tree has
produced a multitude of fruit this year and we have had a great many
visitors.

I had a bird which I'm sorry to say I didn't get the best look at but with
what I did see, being rather inexperience at identifying birds, I can not
find anything in my bird books that is even close.

The bird was about the size of a robin (which is what I thought it was until
I saw the head) The breast was a very pale orangish yellow. No streaks.
There were white eye stripes and a white streak across the top of the head.

The beak was rather sparrow or finch like. I never got a good look at the
back but looked rather like that of a robin or a thrush. There was some
spotting on the wing tips (I think). It was calling that is what caught my
attention. The call was a single chirp, repeated every few seconds as it
hopped around the other side of the tree.

I'm not that good at describing birds and didn't as I said get that good of
a look. Does anyone have any ideas?
