the South Jetty of the Columbia River, Clatsop Co., OR

Weather: Wind SW 10-15; Temp 63F

Method: 60 minute station count at 100m west of "3 rocks" on
SJCR using 20x60 Bushnell spotting scope and 8x50 Bushnell
binoculars. Birds were sorted as to flyby, sitting on beach, sitting
on ocean or sitting on river.

Notes: The weather has been showery and unsettled and the ocean
was pretty rough making it difficult to survey birds on the water.

Three banded adult CASPIAN TERNS were observed in spite of the
tourists deliberately scattering terns with their dog.
