Anyone who cares about birds must care about rainforests, as they hold the
majority of the world's bird species. Many of our breeding birds winter in
rainforests. I hope I'm not offending anyone by sending this general
environmental message to the group, but I knew of no other way to reach so
many caring people.

Sign The Rainforest Site Petition, which will be delivered to the United
Nations Commission on Sustainable Development this Fall 2000. The petition
urges the UN to enforce the international community's political and legal
