As seen from the observation platform, around the Refuge
headquarters, West along Pumphouse Rd. to Lateral C then north along
Lateral C to Marion Drain, then West along the drain. On a small pond
on the South side, that looked like it was drying up, just East of
the intersection of Lateral A and Marion Drain I found 30 WHITE
PELICANS, 13 GREAT BLUE HERONS and 5 GREAT EGRETS feeding.
