Hi all, We went birding on the south shore of Gray's Harbor on Monday morning
and didn't see anything unusual but really enjoyed seeing what we did see:
Belted Kingfisher
Pintails
Green Winged Teals
Song Sparrow
Lincoln's Sparrow
Yellow Warbler
Empidonax
Cedar Waxwings--hawking all around us
Barn Swallows
Rough Winged Swallow
Warbling Vireos
Red Crossbills, a flock-- you wanted to know the species?
Pine Siskin
Chestnut backed Chickadee
Golden Crowned Kinglet
Red Breasted Nuthatch
Marsh Wren
Winter Wren
Semipalmated Plovers
Dunlin or peep flock in the distance

I think we had a Kestrel in Montesano and the Osprey was on the nest ther=
e on
the way down. Also Dianne, two Turkey Vultures between Elma and Montesano
When we first saw all the Cedar Waxwings hawking they were terribly backl=
it and we thought they were Starlings. Pleasant to make that correction.

That's all. Ed Newbold newboldwildlife at netscape.net Beacon Hill, Seattle
