Last year, someone posted a message that they were looking for American
Dipper as a life bird. If they are still looking, I have a "sure thing"
for this bird. I took a guided rafting trip down the Suiattle river this
past weekend, and saw at least a dozen Dippers along the way, maybe more. It
is a fun trip, the river was quite tame and would not require previous
rafting experience with a guide. Bird life was otherwise sparse, a few
Belting Kingfishers and Spotted Sandpipers and that's about it.
