Hi Tweets,

I hope someone can help out with this critter question.
The attic of my folk's home in Bakersfield, CA apparently is inhabited by a
mystery critter. At first they thought it was a cat. My dad saw a streak
hop up on the garage workbench and climb a ladder directly into the attic.
The other day they left the garage open in hopes what ever it was would
leave on its own accord. To test if the critter had left or not they put
out a bowl of food in the garage and closed the door. This morning they
discovered the bowl empty. They have not heard the sounds of a frightened
cat in their attic.

My question.....Do Possums jump? They have never seen squirrels in their
neighborhood, so its unlikely its a squirrel. Another question, do wild
rats jump? What ever it is, eats cat food.

They are going to put the food out again and sprinkle flour several feet
around the bowl in hopes of recording the critter's tracks.

But I am curious NOW as they are!
