Mike West and I did a pre-run of a Sat. field trip to the Bob Heirman
Wildlife Area on a beautiful morning. Hope the weather holds up until Sat. We
were greeted by 75 Trumpeter Swans that could be seen, from the parking lot,
in the ponds below. For those that don't know where this area is -- From
highway 9 south of Snohomish, turn east on Broadway Ave., then left (east)
onto Connelly Road, continue on to a well marked parking lot on your left. A
complete list of birds seen in about 1-1/2 hours follows:
