hi all
just have returned from a combo diving/birding trip to trinidad and tobago.
we spent most of our trinidad birding time at asa wright which was up in the
rain forest. wonderful place to stay as it is an approx. 400 acre protected
second growth rain forest. veranda is filled with feeders for those too hot
to wander the trails. this is a wonderful place to begin tropical birding
as it is only about 10 miles of the coast of venezuela.

we also visited tobago and little tobago to see the nesting areas of red
footed and brown boobies as well as red-billed tropicbird. those wishing a
full trip report may contact me off-list.

also, of note today at green lake i saw 2 eurasian males in a flock of about
45 american wigeon. they were feeding on the grass at the southeast
portion of the lake.
