At 8:30 am this morning there was an adult Snowy Owl almost directly under
I90 just west of Lake Washington Blvd in Bellevue (Washington State DOT
building complex) in the SE corner of the Mercer Slough/Bellefields area.

With the current 5-7 day forecasts from most sources showing a massive
Arctic push into Washington State on Friday night and Saturday who knows
what might show up next week. Current estimates are for high temperatures
over the weekend in the 20's and lows in the 10's with the possibility of
snow. The mean 20 degree temperature line from a couple of the services
extends well off of the Washington coast meaning we haven't seen such temps
since February of 1989 if this holds true. Keep those feeders full and
provide a source of drinking water for our feathered friends!
