Subject: B.C. CHRISTMAS BIRD COUNTS: DATES AND CONTACTS

Birders,

Every year, BC Field Ornithologists (BCFO) includes a list of BC
Christmas Bird Counts in their December newsletter, along with the
dates and the names and phone numbers of count organizers. The list is
also posted on the BCFO website.

Especially for the benefit of those of you who are not BCFO members,
the list can be viewed at http://birding.bc.ca/bcfo/cbc2000-2001.htm
..
(NOTE: No "www." in this address!) Many thanks are due to Andy and
Marilyn Buhler, BCFO's newsletter editors, who spend a lot of time and
effort every year in assembling this information, and to Kevin
Slagboom, BCFO's webmaster.

I am also copying this to TWEETERS and INLAND-NW-BIRDERS for those
Washington or Idaho birders who might wish to join a B.C. Christmas
Count.

I encourage all of you to try to take part in at least one Christmas
Bird Count. For many of us, it is one of the high points of the
birding year.

Good birding and Merry Christmas to all of you!
