Thursday, November 30, 7:23 PM. Hi, this is Tom Aversa. There were few
noteworthy birds in West Seattle today at the Armeni Boat Ramp. There was a
surf bird, a BLACK TURNSTONE, and WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE over there.

Thursday, November 30th, 8:15 AM. Hi, this is Stephen Mlodinow with a bit of
a belated report for yesterday. Dennis Duffy and I went out to Ocean Shores.
We spent about two hours total, looking from the base of the jetty. Despite
heavy off-shore breezes, we had 15 NORTHERN FULMAR, some closer than the end
of the jetty. It?s hard to imagine what might have happened if we had had
on-shore breezes....We also had 30 or more BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKES, one RED
PHALAROPE and one DARK SHEARWATER. We were unable to re-find the TROPICAL
KINGBIRD or SNOWY OWL that have been present at Ocean Shores recently. We did
have a SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHER, mostly in basic plumage, which was nice enough
to call for us at the Ocean Shores Game Range close to Damon Point. That?s

Sunday, November 26th, 7:07 PM. This is Alan Grenon, at (206) 329-5996.
Today, between about 9:40 and 2:30, Alan Knue and I watched the sea from the
base of the jetty at Ocean Shores, and in addition to the more usual species,
we had 20-to-30 or more BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKES, one SABINE?S GULL, IMMATURE,
one probable RED PHALAROPE, at least one, and probably a few SHORT-TAILED
SHEARWATERS, about six-to-eight or more NORTHERN FULMARS, and between noon
and 2:20, regular, probably repeating passes, very close by - at least
six-to-ten MOTTLED PETRELS - possibly a great many more - if they were not
repeating passes. Details will be posted this evening on Tweeters. Good Luck..
