Today (Sunday - 12/10) my Dad and I went to the Mercer Slough area around
the DOT building in search for the SNOWY OWL which has been reported
recently. Yesterday, while on the freeway, my Dad had seen the SNOWY OWL
flying through the trees near the DOT building, so we figured to try and get
a good look at it today. Unfortunately, no such luck . . . but I can see why
the owl has chosen this spot - it's lush and rich in food. I just hope
someone can find it again in the near future!
