Hi Tweets,

This morning on my way to work I noticed a large flock of Waxwings perched
in a tree on Bellevue Way between NE 8th and NE 10th streets, right across
from my office. After I parked I checked the flock with binoculars and
found 29 CEDAR WAXWINGS and 1 BOHEMIAN in the flock. A really nice
surprise. They were all fluffed up against the cold and stayed very still
giving me excellent looks and comparisons between the two species. I
personally have never found a mixed flock of WAXWINGS in Washington - I know
Bohemians are a rare treat west of the Cascades, but do the species mix east
of the mountains?
