During my morning walk along the Ediz Hook road today, I happened on six (6) Pacific Loons popping up sequentially like corks and then diving again in unison only about 100 ft from shore, on the north side of the road behind the restroom bldg. near the Coast Guard station entrance. Watched them doing this in rather close unison (~1-2 m apart when they surfaced) for about 10 mins, before they dispersed. Beautiful crisply black & white necks and very dark backs (as shown so well in my new Sibley!).
