Greetings
I walked around Spencer Island today, 9am-Noon
The RED-SHOULDERED HAWK Hawk was still very cooperative, sitting at the top
of an alder a couple hundred yards north of the barn and calling frequently.
Other highlights inlcuded and adult dark-phase HARLAN'S HAWK and two MALLARD
X PINTAIL hybrids. Though these are one of the more frequently occurring
hybrid ducks, I have seen only two before: one in Long Beach, CA and one at
Blaine, WA.
I had no luck with the Tufted Duck at the Everett Sewage Ponds. The
CANVASBACK total there is about 470.
Cheers
