Not many of you may know where Bridgeport is, in Douglas Co., northcentral
Wash. But, Sat. Dec. l6th, in the snowstorm we held our 5th CBC. Thirteen
people divided into 6 groups and found our largest number of individual
birds ever: 28,22l. We had 87 species, just 2 short of our all-time
high. Two new birds were added: Virginia Rail and Cassin's Finch. For
count week we had a Tundra Swan, Norhern Goshawk and Eurasian Wigeon. Our
speciality, Sharp-tailed Grouse were found in two locations, for a total
of l6 birds. Meredith Spencer
