What a beautiful morning it was on my first outing in 5 weeks! We saw
two snowy owls between the dike and the sound -- possibly a third (it was
too far away even for the scope). There were a gazillion snow geese on
shore, in addition to a large flock of shorebirds (plovers, again too far to
ascertain the exact species).
