The Yakima Valley, WA, CBC found eighty species totalling 19349 individuals.
Both are very close to the past ten-year averages.

We added one new species to our CBC list: one Great Egret that has been at
the same locationjust northwest of Yakima for over two months. Other
highlights: one Western Grebe, three Double-crested Cormorants, one
Ring-billed Gull and one American Tree Sparrow.

There was a threat of snow in the morning and freezing rain in the afternoon
which kept participants to only twenty.

All-in-all, we had good, though chilly, weather and a wonderful time as usual.
