I've done the downtown Olympia area for the past 14 years on the Christmas
count there. Probably the most surprising species of the 106 I've recorded
there on these counts, occurred last Sunday. A dark shearwater of the
Sooty/Short-tailed type was seen for several minutes over Capitol Lake. I
thought some folks might like to hear about that.
