We saw the Mt. Plover today, 12/26, about 2 pm, trying to sleep by
itself in the wrackline near some logs, about 100 yards north of the end of
the road leading to the beach just north of the Columbia R. jetty. That
time today was about 1.5 hrs. after high tide. When we looked on 12/23 at
much lower tide over a much wider area, we couldn't find it, but it's very
difficult to find when it's inactive.

There was also an imm. N. Shrike atop some of the dead evergreens near
the beach.
